Windows Vista™

The release of the Windows Vista operating system means that anyone considering a new system or upgrading an older one, needs to be aware of the increased hardware requirements for this software. We have added a page to our web site (in the system upgrades section) detailing the requirements, our recommendations, and some of the issues you need to consider.

Business users also need to consider the support and compatability issues before deploying Windows Vista in their organisation. Please call if you would like to discuss this in more detail.

Note that it is rapidly becoming more difficult to buy new systems with Windows XP pre-installed, so if you are considering a new machine, now could be a good time to act.

Data Backup and Security

The implications of loosing all your data through hardware failure, corruption, theft or other disasters can be catastrophic. It is vital to keep regular backups of everything that is important to you. We can advise you on a suitable strategy for your situation and supply both the hardware and software required.

If disaster does strike, we are able to assist with data recovery - either in our own facility, or by working with a specialist recovery company.

Web Sites....

Do take some time to check that the content of your site is up to date. The new Companies Act now includes additional requirements for business web sites and email communications. Please call us if there is anything you need to alter, or if you would like further advice.
