All Dell Inspiron PCs come pre-installed with Microsoft Windows XP home edition. Upgrades are available to Windows XP Professional. Latitude series machines have Windows XP Professional

Inspiron systems come with Microsoft Works 7. Microsoft Office XP Small Business or Professional is available as an upgrade.
